one of the easiest cake recipes I know

Peel the apples, cut them into thin slices, and place them in a bowl. Then add a little liquid (pretty much anything can be added). Cover the apples and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Mix the flour, semolina, sugar, and baking powder well. Spread one-third of the powder on the bottom of a greased springform pan, then spread a layer of apples and, if desired, a little cinnamon on top. Now another layer of powder and another layer of apples. Spread the remaining liquid from the apples on top and cover with the rest of the powder. Finally, generously spread the butter flakes on the cake. Bake for about 45-60 minutes at 180°C. The crumble will form naturally from the top layer of powder and the butter. With this recipe, the only thing to remember is that there is enough liquid for the powder to form a delicious batter. As an alternative to apples, you can also use other types of fruit, such as morello cherries.
