Mix the yeast cube with a little sugar and a little warm milk, then let it rise. Once the yeast has risen, take the instant flour, 1 egg, and the risen yeast and knead into a dough. Add more milk and/or flour as needed until the dough is no longer sticky. Then let the dough rise again. Take a little bit of dough at a time, form a palm-sized plate, and fill it with fruit (cherries, apricots, plums, strawberries), forming a dumpling. Do not pit the fruit! Place it in a pot of hot water, bring to a boil briefly, and then simmer at low heat for 15 minutes. Quark: Place 1 kg of low-fat quark in a tea towel and tie the towel securely. Then boil the quark with the towel in a pot of hot water for 30 minutes, let it cool, and wring it out completely. When it’s cold, you can rub out the lumps. The fruit dumplings are served like this: dumplings on the plate, grated quark on top, sugar and/or cinnamon as desired and melted butter.
