Fruit soup with flour dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 bags of dried fruits, mixed
  • 2 cloves
  • 3 tbsp jam of your choice
  • 10 tbsp flour
  • 75 g butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

old recipe from grandma

First, bring the dried fruit, water, cloves, and jam to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the flour balls. To do this, mix the sugar with the butter and slowly add the remaining ingredients. Knead the dough until a firm ball forms. Tear the dough into plum-sized pieces and add them to the soup. Then let everything simmer for another 30 minutes. In the summer, I let the soup cool down, as it tastes best cold in warm weather. In the winter, I prefer to eat it hot.
