Fruity rose punch

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • Flowers – leaves of 5 scented roses, unsprayed
  • 1 bottle of white wine, tart and fruity
  • 500 g strawberries (or wild strawberries if you like)
  • 4 cl cognac
  • 4 cl liqueur (rose liqueur or rose brandy)
  • 1 bottle of sparkling wine, dry

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix the flower petals with the strawberries, add 4 cl each of cognac and rose liqueur or rose brandy, and let it steep briefly. Pour in the white wine and top up with well-chilled, dry sparkling wine just before serving.
