Zucchini from the pan, a healthy treat
- After briefly washing the zucchini, cut off the two ends. The skin of the vegetable is usually eaten.
- Then chop the zucchini. It doesn’t matter whether you cut the vegetables into slices, strips, or cubes.
- Place the zucchini pieces on a fresh kitchen towel and sprinkle them with a little salt. Then let the vegetables sit for 10 to 20 minutes. The salt pulls some liquid out of the zucchini beforehand, so that it can be fried better afterward.
- Meanwhile, prepare the pan. Before adding the zucchini to the pan, heat the oil. Olive or rapeseed oil, for example, is well suited.
- If you like garlic, add a few crushed garlic cloves to taste.
- Onions and diced tomatoes or peppers also go well with fried zucchinis.
- After the oil is heated, the zucchini goes into the pan. Depending on your taste, refine the vegetables with a little butter and sprinkle pepper over them.
- Tip: Make sure you stick to the pan and turn the courgettes regularly. The vegetables are fried very quickly.
