Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 900 g processed cheese
- 400g Gouda
- 400 g Emmental cheese
- 400 g mountain cheese
- 200g Gorgonzola
- 2 bulbs of garlic
- 800 g cream
- Pepper, freshly ground
- Nutmeg, freshly grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Grate or shred all the cheeses and finely chop the garlic. Heat the cream in a large saucepan, but do not bring to a boil. Dissolve the processed cheese completely and gradually add the remaining cheese to the pan, stirring constantly. Only add more cheese once it has all melted. Now add the garlic. Season with pepper and nutmeg, if desired. Simmer over low heat for at least 10 minutes, stirring continuously. Serve warm. Pasta is a good side dish. Tip: The next day, the sauce can also be enjoyed as a spread on bread.
