Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 onion(s), finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 250 ml milk
- 200 ml wine, white, dry
- 750 ml meat broth, hot
- 100 g sour cream or creme fraiche
- 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped
- salt and pepper

Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Sauté the diced onion and garlic in hot butter. Dust with flour and sauté briefly. Then, while stirring vigorously, deglaze with milk and wine. Pour in the hot meat broth and simmer over low heat until the soup thickens slightly. Meanwhile, fry the garlic slices in hot butter until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside. Finally, season the garlic soup with salt and pepper and stir in the sour cream. To serve, garnish with chives and garlic chips. Tip: Don’t let the garlic chips get too brown, or they’ll taste bitter.
