Ingredients
 

  • Herring fillets

aside from that:

  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 small Onion in strips
  • 2 small Gherkins
  • Seasoned pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp Good olive oil
  • Parsley for garnish

In addition:

  • Potatoes, small and with the skin on
  • 1 tsp Caraway seeds

Instructions
 

  • We prepared the herring fillets the day before and simply take them out of the fridge for the new dish.
  • Wash the potatoes, cover with water and simmer with a teaspoon of caraway seeds for about 20 minutes, then drain and peel.
  • Arrange the herring fillets with the apple and onion marinade on plates and garnish with the small cucumber. Place the tomatoes in wedges, spread the onion strips over them, season with salt and pepper, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and serve the dish with the peeled potatoes.
