Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 600 g minced meat (half and half)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground black
  • Garlic pepper
  • Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 1 tsp mustard (medium hot)
  • 40 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them. Combine the minced meat with the egg and breadcrumbs, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and mustard. Using wet hands, form the mixture into dumplings and flatten them slightly. Heat the fat and fry the dumplings for about 10 minutes on each side. Arrange on a preheated platter and keep warm. Add the onion slices to the frying fat, season with salt and pepper, brown, and place on the steaks. Serve with fried potatoes and a green salad.
