Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg minced meat
  • 4 onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 small bunch of herbs (parsley, chives and dill)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 10 tomatoes
  • 6 gherkins
  • 3 flatbreads
  • margarine
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 200 g yogurt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Delicious

Dice the onions. Mix the onions, minced meat, eggs, salt, and pepper thoroughly. Form the meat mixture into 3 very large meatballs. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes at 200°C. Mix the mayonnaise with yogurt, add the chopped herbs, and season the sauce with salt and pepper. Clean and wash the lettuce, slice the tomatoes, and thinly slice the cucumbers. Cut the flatbreads in half and spread with margarine. Assemble: bread, sauce, cucumbers, meatballs, tomatoes, lettuce, and more bread. Cut into “pie slices” to serve.
