Ginger liqueur with honey

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g ginger, peeled
  • 180 g cane sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 80 g honey
  • 400 ml vodka

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 7 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 7 days 25 minutes

Finely chop the peeled ginger and place it in a saucepan along with the brown cane sugar, water, and honey. Stir the contents together, heat, and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Let everything cool, add the vodka, and mix. Empty the entire contents of the pan into a sealed container and let it steep for one week. Then strain out the ginger pieces. This yields approximately 700 ml of finished liqueur.
