Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 piece(s) ginger root, large
  • 4 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 pinches of cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the ginger and cut into small pieces. Squeeze the lemons and oranges and heat them in a saucepan with the ginger and cayenne pepper. Simmer with the lid on for about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and blend. Pour the shot into a bottle and let it cool. It will keep in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days. Tip: Depending on your taste, you can add an apple, 2 cm of fresh turmeric, and cinnamon. If you like it sweeter, use more oranges or add a little water or agave syrup. This shot is good for treating and preventing colds. I take the word “shot” literally and drink one shot glass per day.
