Glazed carrots

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g carrot(s), diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 2 tsp parsley, fresh or dried
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

in delicious honey sauce

Melt the butter with the honey and soy sauce. Then add the diced carrots. Cover the pot (or pan; I often prepare this dish in a wok) and cook over low heat until the carrots have softened and the sauce has thickened. This will take 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your stovetop and the thickness of the carrots. Stir occasionally. When the carrots and sauce are as tender as you like, stir in the cream. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper. This is a great side dish for potatoes, gnocchi, pasta, meatloaf, and much more.
