Goat Cheese in Crispy Basket
The perfect goat cheese in crispy basket recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 piece Puff pastry slices
- 4 piece Sprig of thyme
- 1 piece Rosemary sprig
- 125 ml Milk
- 3 piece Free range eggs
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
- 6 piece Goat cheese thaler
- 30 g Rocket
- 4 tsp Acacia honey
- Fat
- Flour
- Let the puff pastry slices thaw on a floured surface. Pluck and chop rosemary needles (save some for decoration). Pluck thyme and chop finely. Mix the milk, eggs and herbs together and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Grease 6 tartlet molds. Roll out the puff pastry thinly and cut out 2 circles with a diameter of approx. 15 cm from each plate. Pour the dough into the molds and press carefully. Place the cheese thaler in the middle and pour the egg milk around the cheese until the molds are three-quarters full.
- Bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes, meanwhile clean rocket, wash and spin dry. Let the cheese tart cool down briefly and then remove it from the mold. Arrange the baskets on a platter and garnish with rocket and rosemary. Drizzle some honey over the baskets.
