Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pieces of goat’s cheese (coins)
- 8 sheets of puff pastry, frozen, the square sheets
- 8 tomatoes, dried
- 2 chili peppers
- Pepper, freshly ground
- rosemary
- possibly honey
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Unwrap the puff pastry squares, place them side by side, and let them thaw briefly. Cut the goat cheese slices in half horizontally and place one half on each puff pastry square. Chop the chilies and sun-dried tomatoes into small pieces and scatter them on top of the goat cheese. Season with freshly ground pepper and rosemary. If you like, you can also add a dollop of honey to each goat cheese slice; the sweet and spicy combination is very interesting (but not for everyone). Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) until the puff pastry has fully risen and is lightly browned (depending on the oven, after about 15-20 minutes). Delicious as a starter, but also suitable as a light evening meal with a salad.
