Good Friday Dinner

The perfect good friday dinner recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 piece Fresh salmon chop
  • 1 pinch Fish seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 500 g Potato peeled cooked sliced
  • 1 piece Hard boiled egg sliced
  • 0,5 piece Cucumber cut into small strips
  • 2 piece Pickled cucumbers cut into small pieces
  • 2 piece Freshly finely chopped spring onions
  • 50 g Sour cream 10% fat
  • 1 some White balsamic vinegar
  • 1 some Dijon mustard
  • 1 some Cayenne powder
  • 1 some Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 some Sea salt fine
  • 1 tbsp Cucumber juice from the pickled cucumber
  • 1 tsp Seasonal herbs finely chopped
  1. Fry the chops briefly, spicy on each side in olive oil. Sprinkle with the fish seasoning (each time after frying). Preheat the electric oven with the casserole dish set to 80 degrees.
  2. After frying, place the salmon chops in the pan and let it simmer in the middle of the oven for approx. 15 minutes depending on the thickness (second picture).
  3. Combine the ingredients of the salads, stir and season with the spices.
  4. Serve the salmon chops on preheated plates and add the salad. This gently cooked fresh fish with the spicy leek potato salad was a pleasure.
  5. The spicy fish seasoning is a gift from our cook bar member, Pfiffikus. He put it together himself from sea salt, paprika, roasted garlic, mustard seeds, ginger, chilli, fennel seeds, coriander, cinnamon and pepper.
  6. Good Friday we always have fish (out of tradition). We took over from grandma and mother.
