Gooseberry jam with cinnamon and lemon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg gooseberries, green
  • 1 ½ kg sugar
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated, grated peel
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean the gooseberries, removing the stems and blossoms, then wash them. Place the gooseberries in a saucepan with 250 ml of water and bring to a boil. Then add the sugar, cinnamon sticks, and the thinly peeled lemon peel. Bring everything to a boil while stirring and continue simmering until a jelly test shows that the jam has set. Remove the cinnamon sticks and lemon peel from the jam, pour the piping hot jam into prepared jars, seal immediately, and turn upside down for a few minutes.
