Gooseberry liqueur

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g gooseberries, removed from blossom and stem
  • 125 g white sugar
  • 125 g brown sugar
  • 1 bottle of vodka (700 ml content)
  • possibly water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Briefly wash the gooseberries and carefully pat them dry. Place them in a suitably sized, sealable jar with the sugar and pour the vodka over them. Let stand for at least 8 weeks, shaking every 2-3 days. Then filter the liqueur and pour it into a nice bottle. If the liqueur tastes a bit sharp, dilute with up to 50 ml of water.
