Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g pasta (e.g. tagliatelle)
- 60 ml olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, white
- 250 g cherry tomatoes
- 80 g black olives, pitted, sliced
- 50 g freshly picked basil
- 1 garlic clove(s), crushed
- e.g. Parmesan, freshly grated
- Salt
- Pepper, white, freshly ground
Instructions

the Italian way
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente and let cool. Add the olive oil, vinegar, tomatoes, garlic, olives, salt, and pepper to the pasta and let it cook well. Just before serving, stir in the freshly torn basil and plenty of grated Parmesan cheese. This is a light pasta salad that’s great in the summer, too. A typical holiday salad. Note: The amount of Parmesan depends on your taste. I usually use 3/4 of a piece (from Aldi) for this amount.
