Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 10 eggs
- 500 g sugar
- 250 g butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 shot of rum
- 0.1 liters of milk
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 500 g flour
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 handful of palm fat soft or margarine
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Sponge cake with lots of eggs
Beat the eggs with salt, sugar, butter, rum, milk, and vanilla sugar in a mixer until frothy. Add the flour, starch, and baking powder and continue stirring until the batter is thick and sticky. Grease a round cake pan with palm oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 1 hour (test with a toothpick).
