Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 250 g semolina
- 1 ½ kg apples and apple juice
- 110 g butter or margarine
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 tsp rum
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 150 g sugar
- n. B. Powdered sugar for sprinkling

The pan measures 35 x 25 cm. Coarsely grate the peeled apples in a bowl, cover with a tea towel, and then place them in a bowl. Squeeze the apples thoroughly using the tea towel to collect the juice. Mix the grated apples with rum and cinnamon. Mix the dry ingredients together. Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients to the pan, then spread half of the apples on top and pour half of the apple juice over them. Repeat the process, finishing with the dry ingredients. Sprinkle the cold butter on top in slices. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes until golden brown. Allow the cake to cool completely and then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
