Grandma's cheesecake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter or margarine
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 kg low-fat curd cheese
  • 250 g butter or margarine
  • 300 g sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 6 egg whites

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

with lots of quark and vanilla pudding powder

Preheat the oven to 150°C fan-assisted or 175°C electric. Cream the softened butter or margarine with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg until light and fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in. Spread the batter into a greased 28cm cake tin. For the filling, cream the softened butter or margarine with the sugar, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the lemon juice, pudding powder, and finally the quark. Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into the mixture. Pour this onto the pastry case and bake in the preheated oven on the lowest rack for about 75 minutes. Finally, let it stand for about 15 minutes in the switched-off oven. It’s best to let the cake cool in the tin. It tastes even better when still slightly warm, though!
