Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 125 g margarine (Rama)
- 125 g sugar, fine
- 250 g flour
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 1 kg apples, sour
- 1 tsp, levelled cinnamon, ground
- 3 tbsp sugar, fine
- 1 tbsp rum, 80%
- powdered sugar
- Rum, 80%
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
with rum
Mix the ingredients for the dough well and then chill. Now peel, core and grate the apples. We like the cake better when the apples are grated a little more finely. Now mix the cinnamon, sugar and rum with the grated apples. Grease a 26 cm cake tin and line it with about 2/3 of the dough (leaving a raised edge of about 3 cm). Then spread the grated apples on top and cover with the remaining 1/3 of the dough (this works best if you roll the dough out between 2 sheets of cling film). Bake the cake at 170°C for about 35-45 minutes. Once the cake has cooled slightly, cover it with a glaze made from powdered sugar and rum. While the apple pie is still warm, a scoop of vanilla ice cream tastes delicious with it.
