Grandma’s Delicious Plum Cake
The perfect grandma’s delicious plum cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Quark-oil dough
- 2 kg Fresh plums
- 300 g Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 120 g Sugar
- 2 piece Eggs
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 250 g Lowfat quark
- 125 ml Sunflower oil
Sprinkles
- 250 g Soft butter
- 400 g Flour
- 200 g Sugar
- I got this recipe from an old recipe booklet and since the cake tastes delicious, I did everything right. I enjoy baking more and more. Only next time I’ll make the crumbles crispier.
- Dough: Process all ingredients into a smooth dough. Chill the dough for about 10 minutes.
- Lightly grease a tray with a little butter and roll out the dough thinly. Push up the edges.
- Spread the washed, pitted and halved plums on the dough.
- Sprinkles: Mix the sprinkle ingredients together and knead to make sprinkles.
- It’s not in Grandma’s recipe, but I like cinnamon and that’s why I sprinkled a little over the plums. Then the sprinkles come over the plums. The pictures explain the work steps.
- Bake the cake at 200 degrees (lower shelf) (top / bottom heat) for about 35-40 minutes.
