Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 8 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar (bourbon vanilla sugar tastes best)
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • possibly cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

a must for carnival time, makes about 40 pieces

Whisk the quark, eggs, vanilla sugar, and sugar until creamy. Combine the flour and baking powder and mix with the remaining ingredients to form a smooth dough. Heat a pot or deep fryer with fat (I always use 1 1/2 sticks of fat/coconut oil), but not too hot. Once the fat has reached the right temperature, add the batter a tablespoon at a time to the pot or deep fryer and fry until golden brown. Then transfer to a plate lined with kitchen paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Tip: If you like, you can add cinnamon to the powdered sugar; it tastes simply delicious!
