Grandma's hazelnut cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • possibly milk
  • Fat for the mold
  • 300 g powdered sugar
  • 60 g cinnamon sugar
  • some water
  • e.g. hazelnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Place the butter or margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Next, stir in the flour, baking powder, and ground hazelnuts. If the batter is still a little too stiff, simply add a little milk. Grease a 28-cm loaf or bundt pan, pour the batter into it, and smooth it out. Bake the cake at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about one hour. Once the cake has cooled, prepare the icing. Mix the icing sugar with cinnamon sugar (more or less as needed) and a little water to create a thick icing. Spread it on the cake and arrange a few hazelnuts as decoration.
