Grandma's red wine cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, room temperature
  • 250 g sugar
  • 125 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 1 pack of pudding powder (chocolate)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg whites
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 tbsp red wine
  • 1 tbsp rum (alternatively a few drops of rum flavoring)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and chill. Meanwhile, put the butter in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Gradually add the other ingredients and mix everything into a batter. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Grease a loaf pan or bundt pan and pour in the batter. Place in the oven and bake for about 1 hour (do the toothpick test if necessary). I got this recipe from my late grandmother. When I eat this cake, I always think of her, and this way she will always be alive for me.
