Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 5 tbsp vinegar
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ bunch of dill
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

The cucumber salad needs to marinate for at least 3 hours. Peel the cucumbers with a cucumber slicer or slice them by hand. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings. Place the cucumbers and onions in a covered bowl. Add the vinegar and spices and shake vigorously. Refrigerate for 3 hours, shaking at least twice more in between. The salad will then have plenty of sauce, which will keep it a bit longer than regular cucumber salad.
