Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6 eggs, separated
- 500 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 500 ml milk
- 250 ml mineral water
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Whisk the fat, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until frothy. Add the egg yolks and mix until the sugar has dissolved. Sift the flour and baking powder together, then add alternately with the milk. Then stir in the sparkling water and carefully fold in the very stiffly beaten egg whites. Heat the waffle iron, grease it, pour in the batter, and bake the waffles until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar and serve immediately. Tip: All ingredients should be at room temperature.
