Grandpa Heinz’s Best Dessert

  • 500 g Quark
  • 375 ml Milk
  • 4 tbsp Vanilla sugar
  • 125 g Pumpernickel
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 125 g Semi-Sweet chocolate
  • 60 ml Rum
  • 250 g Sour cherries
  • 1 Msp Cinammon
  • 2 tsp Strength
  • 40 ml Water
  1. Mix the quark and milk to a smooth cream and add the vanile sugar. Finely grind the pumpernickel, mix with sugar and rum and let steep for 20 minutes. Coarsely grate the chocolate and mix it with the pumpernickel mixture.
  2. Put the cherries in a saucepan with liquid. Bring to the boil and mix with the starch. Add a little cinnamon and continue to boil. Let the mixture cool down.
  3. Pour the pumpernickel mixture into glasses. Then pour in the cherries and finally top with the quark. Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve.
