Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with leek and smoked ham
Place the goat cheese in a small baking dish and season with pepper. Pierce the cheese lengthwise in three rows with a few slivered almonds, leaving half of the slivers sticking out at the top. Then arrange the remaining slivered almonds between them. Sprinkle the harissa seasoning over the cheese, pour half of the honey over the goat cheese, and scatter the Gouda cubes over it. Then drizzle the other half of the honey over the cheese. Pour the rapeseed oil around the cheese in the baking dish. Preheat the oven grill to high. Place the baking dish underneath and gratinate the cheese for a few minutes until a light brown crust forms. Turn off the grill and set the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat). When the honey begins to caramelize, turn off the oven. Depending on how soft you like your cheese, you can use the residual heat for a little longer. Meanwhile, heat the peanut oil in a pan and lightly sauté the leek rings and ham squares. Arrange the cheese with the leek and ham mixture and serve with white bread.
