Greek melon dessert

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Greek yogurt
  • ½ honeydew melon(s)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of clove powder
  • 4 tbsp Metaxa or other cognac
  • 1 dashes orange juice
  • 1 orange(s), peel, grated
  • 1 tbsp flowers (thyme or oregano flowers), for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

light summer enjoyment

Scoop small balls from the melon or cut them into small cubes. Mix the melon with honey, Metaxa, cinnamon, clove powder, orange juice, and orange zest. Then chill the pieces in ice. Pour some yogurt into glasses and top with the melon balls and the resulting juice. Arrange the oregano or thyme blossoms on top as an edible garnish. Serve the dessert ice cold.
