Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp marjoram
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g cream cheese with herbs
  • 2 stalk(s) Celery
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 100 g olives, green or black, pitted
  • 100 g rice, cooked

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C. Mix the ground meat, eggs, onion, garlic, and spices into a dough. Brush aluminum foil with olive oil and roll out the dough. Spread 2/3 of the cream cheese on top. Cut the celery and bell peppers into thin, approximately 3 cm long strips. Roughly chop the olives. Mix the vegetables with the rice and spread it on the meatballs. Carefully roll up the meatballs from the long side using the aluminum foil. Heat olive oil in a roasting pan and carefully place the meatballs, without the aluminum foil, into the pan. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 40 minutes, then remove and spread the remaining cream cheese on the meatballs. Bake for another 15 minutes.
