Green beans Italian style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350 g beans, fresh green
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp balsamic vinegar cream
  • 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • n. B. salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp basil, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

fried green beans with herbs as a side dish (e.g. with pork medallions)

First, wash and trim the beans, but don’t trim them. Sauté the garlic in olive oil (two tablespoons of oil are enough, but I like to use a bit more) in a pan over medium heat until translucent and starting to smell intense. Add the beans and rosemary sprig and sauté briefly, turning occasionally (about 2-3 minutes). Add half a cup of water or stock, add the balsamic vinegar, and simmer covered for 8-10 minutes, turning once. About 2 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the halved tomatoes and fold in. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper and remove the rosemary sprig. Sprinkle with the chopped basil to serve.
