Green beans with miso

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g green beans
  • Salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • some oil
  • 4 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 60 ml vegetable stock
  • Sugar
  • Soy sauce
  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp panko
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

Japanese spiced

Wash and trim the beans, cut them into bite-sized pieces, and cook them in boiling salted water for five minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water, and let them drain. Sauté the garlic and ginger in the heated oil. Add the miso paste, orange juice, and broth, and stir until the miso paste has dissolved. Then add the beans, cover, and let stand for about five minutes. Season with sugar, soy sauce, and pepper. While the beans are cooking, toast the panko and sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden brown. Pour over the vegetables before serving.
