Green salad with sugar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of lettuce or 4 handfuls of leaf lettuce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • some salt
  • n. B. herbs, e.g. lemon balm or dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Clean and rinse the lettuce, spin it dry, remove the stalks from the lettuce, tear the lettuce into small pieces and put it in a bowl. Mix the lemon juice with a little water, the salt and the oil and drizzle over the salad. Now toss the lettuce vigorously with salad servers. Chop the rinsed herbs and sprinkle them over the salad, then sprinkle with the sugar and mix everything well again. Season to taste and add more lemon juice and salt if desired. Serve the salad soon so it doesn’t become sticky. If you like, you can sprinkle sugar over the salad at the table (the sweeter the better, at least for me). This salad goes well with egg dishes, potato gratin and pan-fried meat or fish.
