Grilled Limburger (cheese)

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 cheeses (Limburger)
  • 2 onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 4 Pepper
  • some oil
  • Pepper, ground
  • Spice mix (feta cheese spice)
  • Herbs – Fix

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

after Jupp & Lala

Slice the onions into rings. Finely dice the garlic. Slice the tomatoes. Cut the aluminum foil into 4 pieces large enough to wrap the Limburger like a candy. Place the Limburger on the aluminum foil, drizzle with a little oil, and scatter the onion rings and garlic around and on top. Season with pepper, feta cheese seasoning, and herb mix. Place a slice of tomato on the cheese, add a chili pepper, and wrap it like a candy. Then grill it (in summer) or bake it in the oven at about 160°C (320°F) (in winter). The Limburger is best when it melts. To do this, simply open the top of the aluminum foil a little and peek inside. Serve with boiled potatoes or baguettes. Cheese is filling; half a Limburger is enough for four people as an appetizer.
