Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 700 g salmon fillet(s)
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp sugar, brown
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Lemon pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Salt

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Season the salmon fillet with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil; mix until the sugar is dissolved. Place the fish in a sealable plastic bag, add the contents of the bag, seal, and turn several times to coat the fish. Let it marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and turn on the broiler. Remove the salmon from the bag, place it in an ovenproof dish, and place it under the broiler. Discard the marinade or drizzle a little more over the grilled salmon later. The salmon will then need 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it flakes slightly when lightly pressed with a fork. Serve with fresh baguette or rice.
