Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 60 g butter
  • 500 g flour
  • 15 g yeast
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • possibly nuts
  • Raisins
  • Almond(s) or sugar pearls

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Place flour in a bowl. Add salt and sugar. Add the butter in chunks. Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Mix the flour with the liquid, starting in the center. Knead the dough well until smooth and pliable, then cover and let rise for 1 hour. Shape the dough into an oval, mark the head, cut into the arms and legs, and decorate. Beat an egg and brush it over the dough. Place in the prepared pan, let rise for another hour, and then place in the preheated oven. Baking time: Approx. 45 minutes in the lower half of the oven at 220 degrees Celsius.
