Cookies from Serbia – enough for about 30 pieces

Knead the first eleven ingredients into a shortcrust pastry. Divide the dough and, on a floured surface, form two logs, each approximately 3-4 cm in diameter. Wrap in cling film and chill for 2-3 hours. Then cut the logs into thick slices and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Make a hollow in the center of the cookies. Place in an oven preheated to 200°C and bake on the middle rack for approximately 15-20 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar. Tip: You can cut small stars out of paper and place them on the cookies as a stencil before dusting with powdered sugar.
