Gyro pizza

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pizza dough from the refrigerated section
  • 3 onions
  • 500g tzatziki
  • 750 g gyros meat
  • 500 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda or Edam)
  • Pizza spice mix
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

with tzatziki and onions

Roll out the finished pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread about 3 tablespoons of the tomato paste over the dough. Peel the 3 onions, cut them into small pieces, and spread half of them evenly over the dough. Then spread half of the tzatziki over the dough and sprinkle 3/4 of the cheese on top. Sprinkle all over with pizza seasoning. Now sear the gyro in the pan. Then spread it over the dough. Spread the remaining tzatziki, the remaining onions, and the remaining cheese evenly over the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C to 200°C for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
