Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork escalopes or veal
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp spice mix (gyro spice)
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

super delicious variation of the normal “Schnitzel Wiener Art”

Wash the schnitzels, pat dry, flatten as desired, and season lightly with salt and pepper. Dust the schnitzels with flour and then coat them in beaten egg. Mix breadcrumbs with gyro seasoning, salt, and pepper, and coat the schnitzels in the flour, pressing the seasoned crumbs firmly into place. Heat oil in a pan and fry the schnitzels until golden brown on both sides. Serve with fries or Djuvec rice, coleslaw, mixed salad, or Greek salad.
