Halloween Oranges

The perfect halloween oranges recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Pc. Oranges
  • 15 leaf Gelatin
  • Water cold
  • 1 l Orange juice
  1. For this funny Halloween snack, first soak the gelatine in a large container with plenty of cold water.
  2. Hollow out the oranges. To do this, cut off a narrow lid on the top of the oranges and then carefully scoop out the fruit with a small spoon. Collect the pulp in a bowl.
  3. Tip 3: So that the orange stands well later, also cut a narrow slice at the lower end of the fruit.
  4. Now squeeze out the pulp well and collect the orange juice in the bowl.
  5. Now the oranges are getting creepy faces. It is best to first draw it on with a pen and then cut it out with a small, sharp knife. Tip: The best way to work with diamonds is to cut them out. Do not cut the holes too large so that the filling does not run out later.
  6. For the jelly filling, squeeze out the soaked gelatine sheets well and put them in a saucepan. Add about 10 tablespoons of orange juice and then heat the gelatin on low. Stir with a whisk until the gelatin has dissolved in the juice.
  7. Now take the pot off the stove and add another 15 tablespoons of juice. Stir again and then add the remaining juice so that a total of 1 liter of liquid has been stirred in. Pour everything into a suitable bowl and let it set in the refrigerator for about 6–8 hours.
  8. Tip 8: Different colored juices such as red berry juice can be used to make very different types of jelly.
  9. Turn the firm jelly out onto a board and cut into small cubes with a large knife. Now fill the jelly cubes into the prepared orange heads.
