Ham and cheese puff pastry rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry, fresh
  • 400 g herb cream cheese
  • 200 g crème fraîche herbs
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 100 g grated cheese, e.g. Emmental
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • n. B. Pizza seasoning

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the onion and ham. Mix with the cream cheese and crème fraîche in a bowl. Add the cheese and season to taste. Roll out the room-temperature puff pastry and spread the cream cheese, ham, and cheese mixture evenly on it. Leave a 1-2 cm border along the long sides. Roll the puff pastry up lengthwise. I like to put the rolls in the fridge for half an hour so they’re easier to slice afterwards. Now cut about 2 cm thick slices and place them on baking sheets lined with baking paper. Be careful not to place the puff pastry rolls too close together, as they will still expand slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 15-20 minutes. The puff pastry rolls are ready when they have turned a beautiful golden yellow. The rolls are the perfect snack for parties, barbecues, or just on their own.
