Ham baked in bread dough

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg ham (farmer’s ham), mildly salted and smoked
  • 800 g dough, ready-made bread dough or as needed and to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Let the farmer’s ham simmer gently in hot water on the stovetop. The ham should be half cooked. Remove, drain, and let cool. Then wrap the ham in the farmer’s bread dough and bake in the oven (approx. 45 minutes per kg at 180°C). Serve hot, then cut off the top at the table and slice the ham. Fresh potato salad, radish, and cucumber salad are suitable as a side dish.
