Hawaiian chicken breast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 can pineapple pieces
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the chicken breast diagonally 3-4 times, being careful not to cut too deeply. The piece should remain intact. Cut the cooked ham into slices, ideally fitting the “pockets” in the meat. Now fill each “pocket” with the ham and pineapple chunks. Season the stuffed chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish. Finally, pour the remaining pineapple chunks and the canned pineapple juice over the chicken breasts. If you like, you can top with cheese; I tried both and found it better with the cheese. Place the whole thing in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. I served it with “Katie’s” “Baked Cauliflower” from the database.
