Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of toast
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of salami
  • 1 small can of pineapple slices
  • 8 tsp sambal oelek
  • 4 slices of Chester cheese (Chester Sandwich Cheese)
  • e.g. cream cheese (pepper cream cheese)
  • some pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, toast the bread and let it cool slightly. Spread the slices with the peppercorn cream cheese. Sprinkle a teaspoon of sambal oelek over each slice. Now place the cooked ham and salami on the slices of toast, followed by a slice of pineapple. Add a teaspoon of sambal oelek to the hole in each pineapple slice, then top with the cheese slices. Bake the toast in a preheated oven at 150°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes and serve immediately.
