Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour (type 405)
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp spice(s), Christmas spices, if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Cream the butter or margarine with the sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Then add the egg. Mix the flour, hazelnuts, and baking powder well and add to the butter and sugar mixture. Knead thoroughly, then divide into two portions and form into rolls. Refrigerate for 2 hours, then cut into approximately 5 mm thick slices. Place on a baking sheet and bake at approximately 160°C (fan oven) for approximately 10-15 minutes. For Christmas cookies, you can also add Christmas spices if desired. Use a maximum of 1 level teaspoon of spices.
