Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg Spätzle (egg spaetzle)
- 3 small onions
- 125 g ham (Katenschinken), diced
- 400 g cheese fondue
- 1 tbsp clarified butter
- Salt and pepper, black from the mill

A delicious, simple dish for cold winter days. Cheese dumplings like you’d find at a ski lodge.
Finely dice the onions and fry in clarified butter over medium heat in a non-stick pan. Now add the egg noodles. Mix everything together and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Lightly fry the noodles. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix in the ham cubes. Break up the cheese fondue a little and stir it into the noodles. Fry everything until golden brown and serve hot. Many dishes go well with this, such as lamb’s lettuce with sour cream dressing or arugula with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
