Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 pack of wafers, 5 cm diameter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 40 hazelnuts, shelled

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

enough for about 40 pieces

Put the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric hand mixer until frothy. Stir in the ground hazelnuts. With moistened hands, form small balls, each weighing around 15g, flatten them slightly and place them on the wafers. Place these on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Press a hazelnut into the middle of each one. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 20 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack. Tip: Shell the whole hazelnuts beforehand. To do this, roast the nuts on a baking tray at 200°C for approx. 10 minutes. Place in a cloth and rub off the skin.
